Established in 2013 with a mission to design and develop an Eco Friendly and energy efficient means of extracting deep ocean magnesium and mineral nutrients direct from seawater. In 2016, Oriel Sea Minerals was the First and to this day, the Only product and company to be granted Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) status from the EU Commission for their unique characteristics and source.
This incredible journey has shaped the future of our company in ways very different to those we first imagined. From a sea salt company, Oriel evolved into a life science company with our sea salt products becoming the by-product of our magnesium and sea minerals harvesting. 10 years working with scientists has been an incredible learning curve where our HydrasphereTM product is now used by many of the worlds finest skincare and cosmetics companies.
With the development of NutrasphereTM we move into a new era of bringing these functional, recovery and performance benefits into the world of water, beverage and nutrition.
We are located on one of the world’s most beautiful and mesmerizing coastal headlands with the mountains of Mourne in the distance. This is the Point of Impact of one of the world's greatest seismic events. A collission of Continents resulting in the formation of the Island of Ireland.
