THE PROBLEM, UNTIL NOW, HAS BEEN HOW TO EXTRACT IT’S MINERAL NUTRIENTS, RECOGNIZED AS THE MOST PURE SOURCE ON THE PLANET, IN A COMMERCIALLY VIABLE MANNER THAT EMBRACES SUSTAINABILITY AND ORGANIC PRINCIPLES. THIS WAS OUR CHALLENGE AND THESE ARE OUR PRODUCTS.

In 2016, Oriel Magnesium and Mineral Extract and Oriel Mineral Sea Salt were granted Protected Designation of Origin  (PDO) status from the EU Commission for their unique characteristics and source. 

Oriel was established in 2012 with a mission to design and develop an Eco Friendly and energy efficient means of extracting deep ocean magnesium and mineral nutrients direct from seawater. 

We began commercial production in 2013 and began a journey that would shape us in ways very different to those we first imagined. 

We are located on one of the world’s most beautiful and mesmerizing coastal headlands with the mountains of Mourne in the distance. This is the exact Point of Impact of one of the world's greatest seismic events. A collission of Continents resulting in the actual formation of the Island of Ireland. We are dedicated to building solid and long term relationships with our clients and to working with them to improve the performance of their products to meet the ever demanding markets for products to replace Sugar, Stevia and stimulants such as caffeine.

Our system in brief:

Through Patented technology we pump huge volumes of deep sea water each day. This passes through a series of different filtration and micro filtration systems before it is ready to begin the evaporation, separation and concentration process. We harvest a “Living Ocean” for its mineral and micro-nutrient resource using proprietary technology that is Organic approved and Sustainability certified.
